Mr. Richard Marcus spent 28 years in high fashion specialty retailing with Neiman Marcus, serving as CEO from 1979 – 1988. Since leaving Neiman Marcus he has served as a director of three public companies: Lands’ End, Michael’s Stores and Zale Corporation. Serving as non-executive Chairman of Zale Corporation until his retirement from that board in late 2007. Mr. Marcus has served as an advisor to and director of several technology companies focused on the retail industry, including XcelleNet, Novo, Tactica Technology Group, and 7thOnline.
Currently, Mr. Marcus serves as a director of First Insight and WineSimple, and as an advisor to Newgistics, NewComLink, Clearhead and BrickTrends.
Mr. Marcus is a graduate of Harvard College and the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
